A quick hike back to Mount Jarvis one cold frosty Fall morning, and a gorgeous sunrise over the mountain. I had tried to make this photo a few days earlier, and the light wasn’t in my favor. We’d backpacked on, and Tracey and I made the effort to get up early, get back to this small lake, and wait for the light. A calm still morning yielded this perfect reflection of Mt. Jarvis. The rarely backpacked north side of Wrangell – St. Elias. We camped right by the towering (13 000′) Mount Jarvis, Wrangell – St. Elias National Park and Preserve, Alaska.
