Morning Sequence with Kate Holcombe

Today’s sequence is designed for gently waking up the body, though it can also be used in the afternoon or anytime you need energizing. It calls for slow, mindful movements following the breath. You’ll want to have a chair handy for support.

Kate Holcombe, the founder and director of the Healing Yoga Foundation, who designed the sequence, believes that time shouldn’t be an impediment to practice. Even 10 minutes of daily yoga, done mindfully and following the breath, will yield benefits. “The practice won’t serve us unless we do it,” she says.
