 In Her Own Words:

From a very young age I was always fascinated by the workings of the human body. This led to me to study health care for a living, and I’ve never looked back…..

As an Australian physiotherapist, health writer and naturopath-in-the-making, I love to help people find their best health. In physical therapy, I work to help reduce pain and dysfunction, and improve quality of life for people of all ages. When it comes to my writing I love to offer people with up-to-date, useful information on a range of health topics, from fitness and nutrition to herbal medicines and self-development. I have a ‘practice what I preach’ attitude as I believe that authenticity in work and in life is the key to having a happy heart and a healthy mind and body.

During my years of practice and life experience it is clear that we are all unique and there is no one perfect image of health. We all have our ails, so a guilt-free approach to health and well-being is essential. You are where you are now with regard to your physical health and well-being, so you must acknowledge your starting place. The good news is there is always room for improvement!

Walking the path to better health and well-being is  making a commitment to yourself. It’s about finding small ways each day to create a healthier, happier you. It’s about living life just a bit outside of your comfort zone, trying new healthy foods, starting a new exercise regimen or forming a new healthy habit. It’s about buying local produce or growing your own herbs and vegetables. It’s about living with grace and joy, spending time in nature, contributing to the community in a meaningful way, nurturing your relationship with yourself and with others, and speaking your own truth as best you can for as long as you can.

I’m dedicated to the cause, and when I’m not working in a busy physiotherapy practice or writing, I’m continuing my second university degree in naturopathy, set for completion in 2012. I would love to connect with you, so please come and visit me on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/healthwiz

Wishing you health, happiness and success in all that you do in 2012 and beyond.
